Karl Finke – Buch No. 3
A book about the tattooist Karl Finke, who lived and worked in Hamburg in the beginning of the 20th century. This book contains photographs from an original sketchbook that was found in an archive in Dresden, as well as texts that contextualize Karl Finke’s role as a tattooist historically and also show his influence on artists of the Neue Sachlichkeit, especially on Otto Dix. The book has been awarded by ADC Germany (bronzener Nagel 2017) and the German Design Award 2019.
